Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's Surprise Wedding

When Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds decided to tie the knot in a top-secret ceremony, they turned to the same wedding planner the rest of us do: Martha Stewart Weddings magazine! Unlike most of us, however, the glamorous couple could actually afford to hire one of Stewart's experts and their wedding, which took place on Sunday, will be detailed in the December issue.

"Ryan and Blake wanted the event to look and feel like home," wedding planner Tara Guerard told E! News. "With decor and live music, we all created the charm, elegance and magic of times passed."

After scouting locations in June, Lively, 25, and Reynolds, 35, settled on Boone Hall Plantation in Charleston, S.C. The historic estate was, appropriately, a setting used in one of the most romantic movies ever made: The Notebook. A "rustic barn" provided the location for the reception, which Guerard described as an "intimate, personalized party."

"From the heartfelt ceremony to the fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception, it was a truly enchanting celebration," says a press release from Martha Stewart Weddings.

Now onto the important stuff: what they wore and what they ate! Lively walked down the aisle in a custom Marchesa bridal ball gown with a hand-draped silk tulle bodice accented in crystal and rose gold embroidery. Her shoes were custom Christian Louboutins, making the whole outfit one-of-a-kind. The actress' bridesmaids wore blush silk chiffon Marchesa gowns, also with crystal embroidery and their own Christian Louboutins. (Hope they got to keep them!)

As for Reynolds and his groomsmen, they wore Burberry suits with custom leather suspenders designed by Christopher Bailey, a friend of the groom. Their rings were designed by high-end celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.

As for the cake, which reportedly cost $3,000, it was designed by cake artist Maggie Austin and transported from Virginia for the occasion. Guests also munched on mini chocolate cakes and s'mores bars from the Bakehouse Bakery in Charleston.

One other noteworthy detail: during the reception, the couple was serenaded by Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, apparently a good friend of Lively's.

Blake and Ryan hadn't even announced their engagement before the wedding happened, so needless to say, it took a lot of people by surprise. One of those people was Lively's Gossip Girl costar and real-life ex-boyfriend Penn Badgely, who handled it gracefully.

"I've only heard what you guys have heard," Badgely told E! News when asked about the wedding. "I'm happy. That's great."

One celebrity hunk who was not so excited: Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, who had named Lively in interviews as his dream girl!

"I just heard about [the wedding]," Lochte told People on Monday. "I didn't even know she had a boyfriend until someone told me after I said I had a crush on her." Aww.
